F3s vs F3 Touring noise level?

I was at a Can-Am dealer yesterday and noticed the muffler is twice the size on a F3 Touring model compared to my F3s.

Is this just for looks or is the exhaust noise greatly reduced on the touring edition?

I have the 2017 F3 T and it's on the quiet side.

I think they might have extended the exhaust to get past the side bags.

The F3T and L are much quieter than the F3S. Especially so with a bypass pipe installed.

What is this "bypass pipe"?

I'm not interested in any major changes to my F3s. I did notice the larger muffler on the touring model and if its much quieter and comes with the side bags then its my next ride ......in two years. The downside for me is the stereo. I wear earplugs when riding so the stereo is worthless. With that said and that you are stating the larger muffler is quieter then the touring model is my next ride.....in two years, lol

Why do you think the stereo is worthless? I feel I can hear the stereo better when I have my helmet on or wearing earplugs, not so much wind noise to compete with.

I use to think a Radio on any bike was worthless until I traded my F3s for a F3T. The radio comes in load and clear even at highway speeds and stock windshield.

I love the radio on my F3T, but you can buy them without the radio.
As for the muffler sound, I am a little jealous over the sound of my friends F3S. I wish my F3T was a little louder. I had a 2014 RT, and it sounds about the same as my F3T, since the mufflers look the same, I guess they are.

Its worthless for me because I have hearing loss, I wear ear plugs and try my best to protect what I have left so no loud ANYTHING.

Wow! I have hearing loss also from 30 years of tools and equipment in the body shop but I still like to listen to music when I ride, sorry for yelling hopefully it didnt damage anything further.:yikes:
