• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Just a quick shut out to the NISR (Nebraska Iowa Spyder Riders) and their SpyderFever rally.
The amount of time and effort these people put into it was amazing. The food was wonderful, the fellowship was amazing, they were so welcoming (1st timer). The group rides were to amazing places and did I mention the food, it was over the top. We made some great new friends. This rally should be on the top of your Spyder list.
Thanks to NISR crew

It's too bad they scheduled this years for the same weekend as the nearby 5th Annual Spyder Rendezvous in Johnson Creek Wisconsin, I hope to do both if there's no weekend conflict next year. But I guess there's only so many weekends.. I'd say the Rendezvous was the same, we spent 4 days around Johnson Creek and never had or saw a hiccup, planning, execution, meals, events (Comedy club night even) were Fantastic.

Cathy and I would like to echo Kyle's comments. We also enjoyed a fantastic, phenomenal and wonderful weekend with the NISR team in Council Bluffs, IA! It was superbly organized by a team of wonderful volunteers that made sure that everyone was welcomed from the moment of their arrival. The group rides, the food, the live music, the dancing, and genuine hospitality made this an unforgettable weekend! We are already making plans to attend next year! We would also like to thank the vendors, both on site and remote for their support! Spyderfever is simply NISR (nicer)!

Big Fun!!!

Such a good time! Superbly planned and executed, just a fantastic event! Being corn fed, myself, I found myself surrounded by regular size folks (6', 250# or larger)! And the nicest folks you could ever meet. We will be back!!!

If Spyder Fever is anywhere close to the friendliness and hospitality that is displayed on RAGBRAI (the Des Moines Regiister's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa it would be worth travelling across U.S. to attend!!!

I understand that Rendevous was a week later than normal due to Sturgis being later and Spyder Fever was a week early due to some of their volunteers having conflicts. Their intention is to have it back in its normal spot later in the month.

We had an awesome time too. They put on a super event and I look forward to going again next year.

SPYDER MUST VISIT-NISR EVENT

BoilerAnimal, you will not be disappointed. NISR does it up right......

Save the dates for next year August 23,24,25,26

Thanks Kredab, it's in my Calendar for next year. I figure if they do overlap, I'll just alternate, they're both so close.

You are very kind and the NISR family thanks you for being part of our rally this year. It was exciting, fun filled and most enjoyable. There are a few important things to rallies, the ride and the people are just 2 of them. This year we had both.....good rides (and pretty good weather), plus amazing folks from 8 different states. NISR thanks each and everyone of you and we are having our first planning meeting for 2018 in 2 weeks.

Huge thankyou to the NISR Crew

Want to say thanks to the NISR crew for hosting a great event and making us KC folks feel welcome. We will definitely be back next year!

When we were leaving the hotel parking lot yesterday a cute young girl in a tight little dress was getting her picture taken by your pink RT. I watched to be sure she wasn't sitting on it. :yikes:

We tend to get that a lot, kids especially want to have their pic taken with the pink bike! Thanks for keeping an eye on it for us, there's nothing worse than those ppl who think its ok to climb all over someone's bike without at least asking - to date, we haven't caught anyone sitting on it but I am sure that day is coming. Next trip for us is in two weeks (Spyders in the Ozarks). Take care & have a great day

I'd like to do this one next year. Is there a reliable, comprehensive, up-to-date list of rallies anywhere on the internet, do you know?

I got the "Save the date" from the rally, I'm sure Lamonte will update as soon as he can. I don't think alot of rallies are listing dates yet

It is good to see that there are now many choices when it comes to :ani29::spyder2::f_spider: rallies and get-togethers. Unfortunately, with all the choices, there are going to be some overlapping difficulties. I think that is a good problem to have.

Choices now all over the lower 48.:yes::yes:

We are winding down, sorting and posting pictures....please check out www.facebook.com/nebraskaiowaspyderriders
Shortly, and I haven't checked to see if LaMont's calendar is open for next year, I'll be posting SPYDERFEVER on it.
Thanks for your interest. You can always contact me at: [email protected] anytime......Chico

PS: we have a rally web site: https://www.spyderfever.com - but it's not updated with pictures or information on next year's event.
That's another thing on my to do list within the next week or so. But feel free to look at what is there from this year.
