• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bikes you would like to see come back

I noticed Honda is not making Valkyries anymore. Too bad. It got me thinking about other bikes that need to be resurrected.

Great thread idea. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

I have been around enough that I have had a LOT of two wheelers. I like them all--except--the 76 Honda 750 Hondamatic. I now wish I still had that one. It was just to easy to drive at the time. :roflblack:

Can't think of any that I "doubled up" on--except for my re-buy of a Vulcan 900 LTD--a 2015 version this time. Wanted back on two wheels and the "motorcycle force" was in my favor. Same bike as I had previous (that fit me like a glove), a brand new 2015 version, and the price was right.

Would I like to see any "bring backs." Nawwwwwwwww. The new stuff is usually improved mechanically and has a few extra features than before.

That's what makes the game fun. Many times I have been sold something new by reading the latest in cycle magazines.

I bought a Trail 70 standard shift for my 5 year old son,
my wife thought I was trying to kill him...
He is now 47 and can out ride just about everybody.

QUOTE=BitSlayer;1268327]OK, probably not what you meant when you stared the thread, but who remembers this little ditty?

There was also 650cc versions
I am convinced if these were reintroduced Honda would sale them again

You can still buy a 2015 Valkyrie in the crate for right at 10k!

Two others that I really enjoyed:

Honda GB 500 1.jpg
My Tourist Trophy was a simple bike that was a ton of fun!
Whenever I rode it: I felt as if I was getting ready for the Isle of Man...

Honda XL600V 87 2.jpg
The TransAlp wasn't a true "Dual-Purpose" bike: it was more of a dirt road specialist! They were surprisingly comfortable out on the open road, and had enough power to get you in all sorts of trouble.

Bikes We'd like to Return

I have a 441 victory in the back of the shop

I had three BSA's when I was just beginning my two wheeled adventure. The '69 BSA 250 Starfire, and two '71 BSA 650 Lightning's. Tried riding that BSA 441 Victor, but always ended up with a black and blue leg. Something about using the compression release lever at the same time as when it was being kicked over. I'd like to see a return of the Lightning.
Another bike that seemed to have a short life was the 1800cc Honda Rune.
