Why the hell would they not cover a exhaust that was made for a vehicle? This is totally my fault for not knowing that the brand new exhaust I have seen advertised on the bike I own is not made for that bike. Also I have not damaged this pipe in a crash or in a race, it was being used on the street and 2 drag nights. Again its a risk you take running a bike or vehicle faster than other people but when I have run other bikes hare its your MOVING parts you check on or worry about.F yosh for not backing there product if they don't, I am still waiting for a real conversation and them getting back to me.
Ok, forget the "Not made for the bike" part. It is an easy out for the manufacturer but is not really the problem here.
I guess my point is that a manufacturer cannot be expected to stand behind their product when failure has nothing to do with their product.
When a product is subjected to conditions that exceed resonable tollerances, there isn't much the manufacturer can do. At this point the user has to take responsibility for the damage.
Your speed isn't the issue nor is the fact that a muffler is not a moving part. Your headlights are not moving parts but if you run 32 volts to them the manufacturer cannot be expected to be responsible for any damage.
I'd say if you get your fuel issues corrected, any quality muffler (like Yoshimura) will last a long time. I've got about 8k on my Yoshimura with no issues and I think Lamont has over 20k on his, and he is not easy on anything.
It's not the muffler.
