• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Air inlet gasket

Sometime back there was a thread submitted about adding a gasket to the radiator in order to scoop more air through the radiator rather than to the side. I can't remember who submitted the thread and cannot find it in my search. Does anyone know who posted this thread.
would like to ask him a question.:f_spider:

I think that is in the Spyder Shop Talk forum.

I understand the concept but I've been wondering why this is needed. Most riders (and I agree) say that heating is not really a problem when running down the road at speed.

The Spyder heat problems really occur when sitting still (stop and go traffic) or moving slowly. In these conditions cooling is 100% dependent on the electric fan moving air.

Eliminating the gap between the radiator and side panel is not going to affect air movement unless you are traveling at speed.

Like I said, not a bad idea but doesn't seem to address the underlying problem of air movement when going slow or stopped.
