• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yup, that's right. They will pull the plug in 18 months. Stupid of them to announce it this soon. Dealers will have a hard time getting rid of what they have on hand. They state they will still provide support for another 10 years. Glad I got out of Victory years ago. I saw the writing on the wall way before this. Indian must really be taking off for them to dump the Vic line. And so much for resale value if you own one. Tom :spyder:

They sold out...tried to go after the Harley crowd with the Indian. Victoria was a superior bike Imho. Too bad.

Not surprising. The Indian is so good that it killed off the "other" competitor (Victory). Polaris is big enough to cover its Victory customers, and I believe its going to be a "buyers" market. You can get quality "big iron" and the prices will be very good. The statement about covering its previous customers is one you can have faith in.

Out here, the CAI figures show that Victory sales for the first half 2016 were half that of first half 2015 (100/200) and Indian sales increased minimally (295/292), Tom. I was looking at two wheels for shorter trips, so now might be the time to buy that Victory Magnum I've always wanted. The Vision was the best bike I ever owned. Unfortunately, selling non performing assets is simply part of any successful business.
