• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Folding antenna

Loading my 2016 RT Limited into my Fun Mover using Rampage ramps requires me to bend antenna down to clear the door. Does anybody know of a folding antenna like the ones for Gold Wings?

Due to the placement of the mount; a folding setup would probably lay against the top of the speaker housing (potentially scratching it), or drag on the ground behind you...
Currently, the best setups are the more compact antennas that are available from a variety of sources.
Check with with Spyderpops; he's got a real good one!

NOT FOLDING - BUT

After the OEM one broke, I re-placed it with a Bosch retractable car antennae. Works really well. However the flexible Shorty is probably the better way to go ............... Mike

:agree: shorty is the way to go! Got mine at autozone for about $11.20161019_141920.jpg

Just replace it like I did with an XM antenna. A lot better reception  Nothing on regular radio anyway. All I have on is the rubber boots.

I had good luck on my Harley with one of the invisable antennas, but then it was powered. When the stock antenna on my RT broke, I tried on of the short Wal Mart flexable antennas and it worked, but not great. I got one of SpyderPops shorty antennas and it not only worked but was better than the long stock one.

How is your AM reception compared to the stock antenna? It is advertized as an FM antenna.

I don't believe AM reception is dependent on the antenna but on a short carbon bar attached to the rear of the radio itself. So AM reception is as good or poor as it was with the OEM antenna ... no difference.

Where did you put it? Pics?
Thank you.
Pam
When you have the panel off to get at where to plug in the antenna (and unplug the OEM mast) there is plenty of room to "stick it" on the underside of the panel.

I say "stick it" because the backside of the strip is adhesive tape to mount it just about anywhere.
