• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Over heating last night

Well yesterday I put about 150 miles on my Spyder. In the middle of the day. The temp. was around 95* in south Florida. all this time I noticed my temp gauge was reading 5 to 6 bars. at sunset Went to meet some other bikes. This time I noticed that I again had 5 bars. when I gassed up and drove 500ft. In front of all my friends. My spyder just died. I keep blowing a fuse. The fuse was in the rear fuse block, the 40 amp main. I pulled all 3 fuse's in the front. The three that look alike. Replaced the rear 40amp fuse. Then one by one I installed the 3 main fuse. This way I could lemmate and find the bad fuse. Now the bike has cooled down. Only thing I could think is the fan on the radiator over heated and caused the fuse to blow. I think, Before I bring it to the shop, I'll install a temperature gauge and see what my temp really is. maybe add some water wetter to the rad. :chat:

Relay issue

We carry spare small and main relays now. We had the same issue, the relays go bad, especially the one that the fan is on. Also the headlight, the main one(which shuts the machine down). WE are thinking vibration is the issue loosening up and then frying them..:gaah:

have the dealer check mine the fan switch was no good did same thing as yours did limp moad or dead on road . cost me $0.00 not one cent and they gave me all new relays and a spare to carry gust in case.............

Most auto parts stores will have a suitable replacement. Its a fairly generic auto relay. Searching on this site for "relay" will eventually yield the exact thread where lamonster first detailed the auto relay he found. I'd find the link for you but I'm too lazy right now. :opps:

What the heck..... I guess I shamed myself into finding the link. :D
