• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Coolant level

Should I be able to see the coolant level through this thick white plastic? Seems like I should. Remember- I'm new to spyderdom.

Not really. But what you CAN do is go up underneath in the right front wheel well with a good flashlight and put it right up against the plastic. You should see a green glow and pick out the level. When I want a more precise measurement, since I have a supply of fuzzy pipe cleaners around, I bend one in an L shape and use it as a dipstick.

Since you're new, be careful reinstalling that cap on the plastic and be sure you turn it all the way. It will get to a place where it feels tight but it still needs to go further. Pretty much just like any other radiator cap.

This is why I ask questions- I get creative answers to solve my problems- thanks!

Flashlight didn't work for me. Made a dipstick and got the reservoir filled. I wouldn't have thought of doing the pipe cleaner dipstick trick.

Here's how I do it....

I just wiggle the machine and when the liquid is moving it is more visable. I run 75% water 25% coolant with water wetter and it is even harder to see....
