• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think this is the first negative comment about their looks I have seen. I thought they blended in quite well with the lines of the Spyder, but to each his own. I think yellow Spyders are ugly, but then that's just me!:roflblack:

Nope, not just you - me too!! Certainly not Slingshot ugly, buuut...... :sour: :p ;)

One of the guys that rides with us has a 2015 and put them on his. I followed his lead and put them on my 2014. Didn't really have heat issues other that the glovebox and the scoops have taken care of that.

How much do they cost

With all the talented people on this site i would of thought someone could design scoops with some style. Something functional yet classy. Like the scoop on a 1971 barracuda. I may have kept the 13 if BRP would of thought about appearance as well as function.

If you don't like the looks of them: just spend a butt-load of money, and get the ones from Vertika... :D

They only look to be about $600 or so (Canadian...)

(If you gave some folks a mail sack full of hundred-dollar bills: they complain about the weight!)

:dontknow: I don't know what BRP's kit costs... I feel no need to add it to my bike.
But if other folks are reporting that it costs $66: why should we argue with their personal experience? :dontknow:

Where can I get color-matched paint? Do the dealers stock touch-up paint, or is it a special order item?

Painting the scoops makes a huge difference. Black ABS stuck on top of pearl white doesn't quite cut it, and I want to paint mine.

How much paint to buy?

Wow! This stuff ain't cheap! For two scoops, is the Aerosol Complete Repair Package plus a can of base color enough? That's $114 already, and I don't want to get caught short so I'll buy more if I have to. Any extra I can use later.

Installed Air Scoops

Thanks to Doc Riverside for his help with the instructions. I am very pleased with the air scoops. The heat coming off the bike is much less now. I wish I had spent the $66.00 sooner. Install was very straight forward once you got over the fear of cutting on the body panel.
