• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Antenna from Spyderpops

New antenna with better range and much more solid, Just got this from Spyderpops and it comes with a new style boot that won't fly off and works with half or full cover without breaking, what do you think, looks good don't it?

Several of us were at Spyderpops yesterday and had them installed, very solid and good range. I especially like the new "boot" that is nice and tight.

Very nice...

Looks like the perfect solution to all the antenna problems being had by many...congrats :2thumbs:

How does it mount? The boot?

I am wondering this also. Do you have to remove the tuperware, get to the backside of the tuperware to remove nut and rewire/re-plug. Or can it all be done from the outside as with some of the other antenna replacements ?

Will this work to replace the long whip antennas like on my stock 2014 ST-L ? :hun:

Thanks !

This is what I got from Harvey

The antenna is a quick change out, using a 7mm open end wrench to get the old one out and then use blue/medium Locktite when you put the new one in. The grommet will slide over the antenna after you get it installed and I installed the adapter in the antenna first using the 3mm socket to tighten it all the way then screwed the assembly into the hole on the Spyder.

The grommet seems to be a little hard to get it snapped into place but if you push in the bottom first then you can use more force to push in the top. It really fits tight and flush. I installed 4 yesterday and everyone was very happy with it.,
