• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After 22,000 + problem free miles on my 2015 RT, I finally had a failure. My air ride suspension bag apparently had sprung a leak, and while I was unaware of the problem, my compressor burned itself out trying to pump it back up. My Spyder is now in the shop awaiting the parts needed to fix the problem. I'm told it will be about a week. Thankfully, riding season hasn't yet begun, so it will be a pain free week.
The Service Manager told me this would cost about $1,500.00 had it not been covered by the factory warranty, of which I am covered for another nine months. Whew! Thank Goddess for warranties! While I was there, I purchased the three year BEST warranty, which I feel is $660.00 well spent.
I have no complaints about this incident. I've had stuff break down on my two Honda Shadows, my Goldwing, and my Victory.... it's just part of the deal when you ride motorcycles. I still maintain that the Spyder is a great machine. My only minor gripe is that there are no D.C.s in the US, so they have to get the parts shipped from Quebec, thus the week wait.
Kudos to Ride Now in Chandler for getting me in immediately when I called yesterday, despite the fact that I purchased elsewhere.

Fortunately, my alternate mode of transportation is ship shape!

...But it can, and will be fixed soon!

When do you start riding, I've only got 7 weeks left........

I ride all year long, but in the heat of the summer only very short rides, and mostly in the early morning or evening. Our prime riding season is from mid October through June. July, August, and September are the hottest months.

When does your riding season begin?

I have about 5 to 6 weeks left of riding :yikes: :gaah::banghead::gaah: :yikes: .

Maybe we will skip winter this year or have an other mid winter again!

Riding season here is slowly coming to an end. By early November I have to park mine because of black ice on the roads. It has turned cool early this year. Leaves are changing and coming down. Expect them to be down by second week of September.

I still have 5 to 6 weeks of riding left until end of September maybe! Where has the summer gone!

I know what you mean.

Happy to hear it's under warranty. Good move buying the extended warranty. I plan on doing it also. Tom :spyder:

BEST Warranty

Hi Pam,
My :spyder2: has been trouble free but not big milage. Your air system failure has encouraged me to get the warranty. I do fear that my local dealer will not honor it---- I'll find out. OR do I get repairs done and them BEST pays the bill?? OR does BEST pay the dealer for the repairs after they (BEST) has determined if the repair is covered??
Any help on the waranty is much appriciated.

Kaos

PS: Pam, I can port and polish that broom if it need a few more horsepower.

Bummer...

Sorry you hear but looks like things are in good hands...as for the alternative transportation, seems stopping by hitting the wall has taken it's toll...:roflblack::roflblack: Glad it still works...
