• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Due to a few hurdles, I was not able to clear it before my one year anniversary... Still, its exciting as this is the first vehicle that I have taken up to 50k and I'm really looking forward to the Touring model...

Whoo hoo!!!!!!! Hey - I'm only one zero short!

What services did you have done at the dealership prior to 50K? Can you list what if any issues you have had with it?

I really shy away from these matters as it can sometime lead folks down the wrong road... Your mileage will vary as will your experiences and what I do may not be considered "best practice".

with that said; I change my own oil every 4-5k miles, or once a month. There has been two official valve checks at the dealer and both were fine. There has been a few components that failed - relays, fender brackets, final drive, oil pressure, switch, etc. Everything that has needed replacement has been promptly taken care of by the good folks over at Garganos and fully covered under warranty. Three sets of tires, brakes and bearings. Countless brake bulbs, (mostly the right) and I think 3 -4 exhaust gaskets.

I really feel like all I do is change the oil and put gas in it. I have never owned anything that was taken all the way to 50k mostly cause parts would fail and I would just need to get on something else.

This past weekend was my first long ride on the Spyder after being on my BMW 800GS for two weeks straight. I forgot how much the Spyder affects my knees. On long rides I just throw my legs up and rest them on the body panels, like I'm in a lounge chair.

I'm really looking forward to a redesigned touring model. When that bad boy is in my hands, I'll make the push to put 100k on it.
