• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Road Rage?

We don't know the whole story from just a video. And the owner of the black vehicle should spend time in jail. But it would appear the owner of the bike deliberately cut in front of the vehicle and seems to look at the driver. Would be interested in what went on just before. And would be a lot safer to ride behinde and call cops instead of trying block someone. Let's all be safe.

Wellsboro - Isn't that south of Middlebury Center?

I watched that several times and thought the Motorcyclist may have not been 100% in the right here. Anyway - What's up with just randomly shooting video on a cell phone and happening to catch this on video?

Welcome WellsboroSpyder - The wife and I are originally from the Westfield/Knoxville area. (40 or so years ago). We still call that area Home.

Where was the guy on the bike going? :dontknow:
Did the car have a left-hand turnsignal on? :dontknow:
I can't tell what prompted this collision, but the outcome was inexcusable! nojoke

the bike did seem to be on the aggressive side,
BUT the car was totally wrong, unless the biker was pointing a weapon at him

More info needed

Something was going on previous to the video for sure , but unless the biker pulled a gun there is no excuse for the attempted vehicular manslaughter.....:trike: And the video being shot is coincidental not some conspiracy as some on Facebook are claiming

THE VIDEO

My .02 ( x-leo for 37 yrs. ) ....I watched it 5 x's ......there are multi-possibilities. But I'm 99% sure the CAR opr. intended to make a RIGHT turn after stopping......and from the physical lay-out , the opr. had no reason to think another car/trk. could be on the right side of the opr's vehicle ......So the opr. was looking to the left at on-coming traffic ....seeing none they pulled out making a RIGHT- turn.......un-fortunately the MTC. was there !!!!... NOW , did the car have it's turn signal on ???... was it a last minute decision ???/.... Did the MTC opr. ignore or fail to see the signal???... Lots of maybe's in this one ................Mike

Mike, you could be absolutely correct. There is definitely a hit-and-run going on here, but it could be that there was no aggression on either part prior to that. We have all witnessed motorcyclists who weave in and out of traffic and pull around cars, just because they can. For whatever reason, it was obvious that prior to being run over, the motorcyclist was in a place he should not have been under an normal circumstance.

The absolute worst examples of this I have ever seen was from the window of a bus in downtown London. Traffic in London is more congested than here in NYC, but in addition, motorcycles are weaving in and out of it in every direction shooting around cars, taxi's busses, and lorries. In the space of about 20 minutes I watched from the bus window as our bus driver was cut off by various motorcycles at least a dozen different times. While I didn't see an accident on that occasion, there must be vehicles running over motorcycles all the time there.

I think the guy in the car was busy watching traffic to his left, so he could safely make a right turn. He was taking too long for the biker so he went around him and got smashed. I think biker is at fault should be ticketed. Driver of car was wrong for leaving seen of accident so now he is in trouble with police and insurance co.

Not the best move

Regardless of the circumstances, getting in front of that van was like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
