There is no reason to change your battery just because it's winter. I personally like a Battery Tender (that is a brand name, not a device) and have been using them since I ran across them back in the 90's. IF I'm not riding, I have a Batter Tender on it, that includes my boat, and my car which ish't used much. Over time I've learned that this habit has extended the life of my batteries from 4 years to 7 years. As I said, I prefer the Battery Tender as I have also learned that the stand behind their products, but, any decent battery maintainer device should work as well. I have a pig tail attached to my battery connection, and it is a simple task to just hook up the maintainer when I park.
