• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. My milestone ryde today..

I took a ride with my brother-in-law and my nephew today. We met at 9am and I arrived back home at 1:30pm. Along the way, my 2008 GS which i bought used in July of 2014, passed 12,000 miles. When I purchesed it, it had 1,955 miles meaning i have 10,078 miles ridden on my Spyder.
Overall, my GS has served me well. I am very lucky to be walking, let alone riding, after suffering a TBI in 2001..but thanks to Can-Am, I AM.

Hi Vader,

Re: My milestone ryde today..

I did something similar this past Tuesday, I hit 10,000 miles on my Spyder. I bought it a little over two years ago with 4,000 miles on it.

Hope to get a bunch more,

Jerry Baumchen

Congrats, but what was the TBI caused by? Please don't say you were riding a motorcycle and wasn't wearing a helmet... my apologies for asking and being curious.

Hey Brian..my TBI was the result of an auto accident...well sorta. I was sitting in the drivers seat of a parked car, a Honda Accord, when a driver of another vehicle struck the car I was sitting in. Prior to my accident I had ridden motorcycles, street and dirt, for 30+ years.

Love reading stories of people who Can Am have helped ride, like they have me. I spent the first 22 years of my life unable to ride a motorcycle or even actual bike. Since I bought my RS back in 2012 I absolutely love it and have been riding everywhere and recently went over 16K miles. Been a great ride since I bought it and absolutely love it. Keep riding and keep spinning the wheels.
