There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Handlebar Risers?

Has anyone ever put handlebar risers on their F3? (I have an F3T) I'd like to move the short reach bars a couple inches or so closer to me.

If anyone out there in SL-land has done this I'd appreciate learning which riser product you used.

Thanks.

RISERS - F-3

Patti, doesn't BRP already offer multiple bar choices for different size people and riding preferences ......check the parts catalog ....Mike

Following...

she already has the short reach bars, but too far away. I understand completely and will be watching for suggestions (led with the chin there...lol)

My thought was to forget the short reach bars and buy from another manufacturer - aren't the F3 bars pretty-much standard? :dontknow:

This issue is another reason I am keeping my ST for a few more years... Especially now that I have all the adjustment of the tri axis bars...

Hi we had a similar problem and couldn't find anything out there . She has a bad shoulder and needed the bars closer to her .
What I did was to install spacers under the stock risers which where 1.25 inches high with longer bolts . That allows you to lower the bars (grips/controls) which moves them towards you.
If you try to rotate the bars without the Spacers it will hit the tank at the full turn stop.
The spacers gave me the height needed to have the bars rotate down more , which moves the grips and controls closer with out hitting the tank . Hope that helps I will post pics later.
There is a riser which will do the same on the drag bars but BRP will only sell it with the complete kit around 299 dollars I think .

bar riser

I have taller handlebars which makes for a great position, they are 3 inches taller than stock. they were cheaper than risers.

I was looking at Rox risers since Joe (CaptJAM) recommended them. On Revzilla, they're available for 7/8", 1", 1 1/8", 1 1/4" etc bars. My brother measured my bars and said they're 1 1/10". Maybe I need to measure them myself.

Also, it has that big 1-piece base. Maybe spacers would be the way to go.

After looking at a picture of the clamp a spacer may be the way to go. If you knew someone with a machine shop they could make you something.

.Patti, from other responses I think you should look here:....DennisKirk.com --- go into Snowmobile catalog and there are a number of choices depending on what HEIGHT you need just type in ( part # ) 595893, or 4,or 5, or 6, etc up to 9..........I put them on my 08 GS back before anyone was selling Risers......they are very very strong and high quality. They are ALL 3/4" wide / thick(?)........I don't have an F-3 to look at, but I'm thinking you would re-move the OEM bar....put a short piece of 3/4" copper pipe ( you can buy short pieces at Home Depot ) then put on these RISERS ....Then put your OEM bars on top,......PM me if you need more assistance ..................Mike
