• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

belt whistling

Hi guys, i know there are several problems related to belt, but my friend has a whistling problem. After 5000km he went to dealer who told him - different from the one who sold him the bike/ that his back wheel is not set up correctly.
He did the job and ever since then his bike is whistling at 30kmh and around 70kmh.. (18 &around 43mph)
He was told its "normal" on few bikes.. I drove his bike last weekend and I can tell you its annoying.. i was already freaking out after few laps around parking lot.. :banghead:
Before I will write to BRP care, do you have same experience?

what i told him, is to get official claim, that you want that thing to be fixed. If they cannot fix it for 3times, he is obliged to get a new bike according to EU law. This is not something that comes with the bike, as our belt vibrations that are on every bike..
what you think guys?

Interesting. ...

Have not heard of the whistling but other noises yes. Seems that loosening it all up and resetting it would be a good start. Then you could also try the dab of grease on the rear sproket which is a suggestion from brp as per bulletin. But if the dealer can't get it fixed then for sure get brp involved and open a case number...:gaah:
