• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maintenance time...

Looks good and clean too... how many miles on it so far?

I'm almost to 17K on mine, just paid the final bank note on it last week! I'm going to have to replace the back tire before state inspection next August the center is almost smooth; it may still be ride-able but won't pass inspection at this point... but both OE front tires are still in very good condition with very even tread wear to have never had a laser alignment. :2thumbs:

Met a lady in the Walmart parking lot last night with a Polaris Sling-shot (just so happened she was parked near my Spyder when I came out of the store, so I went over and said Hi)... that thing is much larger than I thought it would be from pics I've seen of them! And is it ever LOW to the ground I don't think any part of the machine is much more then a few inches higher than the tires are! Still much prefer my Spyder, though it was pretty cool looking. Then she told me how much she paid for it... I really really much preferred my Spyder at that point! Yikes! :gaah:

I purchase the spyder early this spring with only 3800 miles on it. I've got 4500 on it currently. I had just purchased a brand new 2015 Honda Interstate and in the process helped a friend buy a spyder.... Wasn't long after my purchase and riding my friends spyder that I got the itch... Traded the 2015 Interstate for the 2011 Spyder and have no regrets !

Is wrapping the exhaust pipes something that should be done?ive never really thought about it.

Im pretty pleased with the results... Took a few days for the odor to disapate but it's fine now and the heat reduction on the left side is noticible. I'd say the bang for the buck is pretty good !

Pretty straight forward procedures...

JT, If you have the maintenance manual it covers the process in pretty clear detail....(if not they are available on eBay cheap). Yours sounds like it was in pretty much the same condition as mine and I was able to correct all of my slack at the throttle adjust points. Although I removed all of the necessary Tupperware to get access to the lower throttle body cable attachment, it didn't require any adjustment to reach optimal position. Hope this helps !
