F3 recalls?

So after wanting a Spyder for at least the past 5 years, I'm finally in the final stages of buying a new F3S. Before I take ownership, I'd like to make sure any recalls are taken care of.

My question is what are the recalls I should mention to the dealer to make sure they're addressed?

Thanks.

I don't believe there are any recalls, however there were 2 service bulletins. One was for the brake line possibly rubbing. This one was early in 2015 and I doubt any spyders manufactured in May or later would even have the issue. The 2nd is the frame reinforcement. You didn't say what model year you're buying. I think the frame reinforcement only applies to the 2015 model year. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

oh, and congrats on your new F3!

Thanks. Yes it is the service recalls that I was referring to. I am buying a new 2015 F3S SE6. I remember the frame under the seat being an issue. I wasn't aware of the brake line. I've been reading and better educating myself for the past two years here. Even bought a LeMonster tshirt! Very excited but since I am not buying local I want to get whatever might be needed done ahead of time.

I would call BRP to see if you need the brake line thing... They didn't say I did.... Just had the frame done.

Agree - Spot on from my experience. Purchased 2015 F3-S in April of 2015 - had dealer check brake line and it was already taken care of by BRP before shipping to dealer - BRP caught this one early.

Just this month had frame reinforcement done ( inspection of frame showed no cracks nor warping). Down side of frame reinforcement bracket is that you can no longer get to rear shock bolt/nut from top two holes under rider seat. No biggy - can still get to bolt/nut underneath with socket ratchet extension - just a little awkward when doing it by oneself. Silly me decided to replace shock after frame reinforcement was done :duh:

It is my understanding that the 2016 F3's new frame design in that area is good to go.

:congrats: on new F3 - miles and miles of smiles ahead

Could you share pics of you installing the shock after the bracket? If you have any. Thanks.
