Trip ended before it started. I'm leaking coolant and overheating. Also, tire has to be replaced for sure now. Down under 20 PSI in just a few hours. Between this and DC, I'm starting to think someone doesn't want me going anywhere fun!!!! I've had time off scheduled for this for months and have been looking forward to it ever since. Ugh!

I'm going to fix these items as soon as possible. I know the coolant leak and overheating aren't related to a bad relay switch as the fan is working fine. Plan now is to fix these items ASAP and salvage what I can for my time off. Maybe we'll head to NY and visit NMN. I'm determined to have a good time on my time off come hell or high water. Just going to take an extra day or two to get going.

Thanks, everyone for offering to help me on this trip. Sorry I won't be there to meet and enjoy time with my Spyderlovers friends.

Oh, no. Sorry to hear about the problems. Your bike would have won the show in LA although they probably would have detained you for a couple of days while investigating the guns and grenades.

Hope you get the cooling problems resolved. That's beginning to sound like a stuck thermostat (stuck in closed position).

That was my first guess, too, or a bad water pump...if these things have them. Didn't motorcycles used to be air cooled?

Hose leak. Ugh. Got it fixed though so we'll be on the road soon- just not to Cali. Here's where we're headed instead:

Tuesday - Head to Sandusky and enjoy Cedar Point for the day. Camp.
Wednesday - Ride to the Adirondack Mountains (10 hour ride). Camp.
Thursday - Enjoy the Adirondacks and head to the Orange County Choppers showroom. Camp.
Friday - Linger about NYC eating yummy food and seeing the sites. Hotel.
Saturday - Ride home

We'll be sure to take lots of pics. Have fun in Cali, folks!
