• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does the current Spyder TV campaign make you feel good?

I enjoy seeing the current Spyder TV campaign, it makes me feel proud that I own a Spyder. But just wondering two things, how do they make you feel, and if they are actually driving increased traffic into the dealers?

:dontknow: But I DO like the scenery in them! :2thumbs:
Personally; some more "technical" ads, that actually educate the audience; would be really nice.

Nice scenery, but a bit Ho Hum. Marketing is not the brightest bulb that shines from BRP. Danica, Triple Black at Sturgis, the "clown" colors on RSS,? etc. etc. :roflblack:

:agree: It's nice to see a Spyder ad on TV, but they REALLY could use a new ad agency. :sour:

Here's another example... In this Can Am Facebook ad, which appeared yesterday, they show a picture of a guy who has lost control of his F3 crossing a solid center line into oncoming traffic. Doesn't particularly promote confidence to a prospective customer IMHO.

When they finally released the F3 here in Feb 2016 they ran full double page ad's telling us "Introducing the all-new 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3" . Nothing like rubbing our noses in it that the rest of the world has had them for at least a year and we're just getting the old unsold stock.

Geeze...!!

I guess I will have to watch some TV and see what they are doing. ..:dontknow: in the past only the spyder impressed me. ..

I agree with Bob, I think the road shots are good but they should follow up with the features, traction control, stability control, 6 speed trans. and needless to say the 1330 engine.

My wife and i were out last Sunday and 4 HD riders waved us over to ask us questions about the Spyder. One of them said his wife has a bad back and can no longer ride on his HD and asked my wife about the passenger seat was on our RTL. They said they are seeing more on the road but did not know what they were or where to get them. I gave them a brief run down on the Spyder and I think they were surprised with everything that my RTL had.

I enjoy everything about Spyders - and if I'm not ryding, then the next best thing is to see videos of people ryding!

I haven't seen the ads, I guess I'm not watching the right channel. What are they on ESPN? But I agree, the guy over the white line is not a good thing.

I second that one

What he is doing is DANGEROUS and or just plane stupid
notice he is on a curve, is it a blind curve?
They should rethink this one.

I love the video. I would like to post one of my recent trip. How did you inbed your video into the forum?

As in most cases, this advertising campaign does not really have its finger on the pulse. But it is interesting that it took so long for BRP to get on the advertising bandwagon. It seems that the Spyder and Slingshot have found their niche without any outside help. A fifteen minute ride on a friend's RT Ltd was all it took for me. I bought my RT with no input from video hype. RTs and Slingshots are like liver. You either love them or you hate them. There is no middle ground. As far as I'm concerned, more bacon and onions please.

I totally agree! Never even seen a Spyder ad, but seeing a Spyder on the freeway back in '08 was enough for me to want one... riding one sealed the deal. Most people I meet say they love mine, some people in the motorcycle group (online, not in person) say they hate them... never seen anyone who's neutral to them. Yes, more onions with my liver! Never tried bacon with it though, might have to... :D
