• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The RT configuration is built for two up riding and travel--in comfort. Not so sure about the F3 T. A test ride will help you make a good determination if it is for you.

Yes best for you to rest ride.
I know a lot of people on here don't think the F3 is for two up. Traded my 2011RT for a F3S. My wife loves the ride better than the RT and so do I. You'll love it hop on and enjoy. Oh I even tow a trailer go figure.

i think if your wife sits on an RT you can forget the F3. Tiny back seat, More money to add back rest, not as many features as RT. Im pretty sure the F3 is pretty close to or more in price as RT when you goto the touring model isnt it?

As others said, you would have to ride them for yourself.
We can provide our experience but everyone is different.

My wife didn't like the seating position on the F3 because it put her slightly higher than me and she didn't want to be in the wind.
She prefers the RS because I block all the wind.
Says the RT is next but down the road.

We'll be test riding the RT and F3s again this fall at the AIMExpo and probably again next year at Bike Week, and any other opportunity we have too...lol.

She apparently has sat on an RT since the OP states that he just sold there 2011 RT-S.

Go to the dealer and do a demo ride. My dealer had an F3 Limited already decked out with driver and passenger backrest. I thought the F3 limited was very comfortable, my wife felt the back seat felt pretty good. This was just an 5 or 8 mile ride something in that neighborhood. So 200 or 300 miles in 1 day may have her screaming OR NOT, only time will tell when we actually buy one. Remember seats can be replaced, there are options out there.

We currently have a 2013 ST limited. Stock seat was OK, the Ultimate seat is fabulous for both of us. But after a test ride on the F3 Limited I find that seat and seating position I really like. The RT not so much. We did a demo ride on 2014 RT Limited and neither of us cared much for it.

We found the RT to be not near as "FUN" to ride as our ST and Sharon thought the back seat felt really cramped. She does not feel cramped on our ST or on the F3 Limited. That is our opinion of course, and many others on here will certainly argue that.

By the way The F3 Limited & F3T with the rear air ride is really smooth and sucks up the bumps.

So you have to ask yourself. Do you want the radio? Heated grips? All the extra chrome? SE6 tranny with driver footboards are standard on the Limited. All of this is not included with the base F3 T. :dontknow:

I want the Limited!
