• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Currently we have just two Spyder Friendly hotels, Lamplighter Inn North and Best Western Coach House. Cruzr Joe has the the BW almost completely booked, they just a night here and night there.

I just spoke to the Lamplighter and they have rooms available for the whole week. So if you haven't made your hotel accommodations you can call the Lamplighter at 417-869-3900.

[SUB]Let me know if you have any questions.

Definitely no rooms at Coach House for the 27th. I check in on the 26th, but had to get a different rate - no SF rates left. Check back in on the 28th and stay through the 30th. The Coachhouse staff did say they have sister properties nearby that would offer a discount for overflow. I don't know how much though.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but we got a better rate than the Lamplighter offered, even with the "Spyderfest rate", at a nearby hotel, with much better reviews. Whether or not our hotel will be a "host hotel" is unknown at this point. I figure no matter where we're at, there will be a bunch of Spyder junkies to hang around with, but it would be good to have the "host-like" atmosphere. For now we'll keep our room at The Days Inn at Battlefield and 65. Either way, I anticipate a good time.

You don't know what your missing if you don't visit one of the "host hotels" in the evening. Everybody is welcome no matter where you're staying. :)

Your room might be cheap but the atmosphere won't be the same.

Your hotel is over eight miles from the Best Western. Just want to point that out if others get a room at the Days Inn and plan on walking around to the host hotels, you may want to bring along a really comfortable pair of shoes.

Meh..park, walk around, visit, ride back afterward. I'm not a big drinker so that's not an issue with us. It's all good. I suspect we won't be alone regardless of where we stay.

There are a number of nice hotels in walking distance. I can well understand the desire NOT to stay at the Lamplighter. Its a dump and overpriced for its condition and age. Still we had a great time last year but would pick a different hotel if we were attending again. Going to other events this year. Deadwood and Red Rocks for us.
