• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Morning Thread

I think that our clouds might be heading your way...
Washed the bike, and wiped it down. Now we'll see, if Christmas Day's ride was the last. :D

Good morning all!!!!! 58°F headed for low 70° range this afternoon! It has been raining since Thursday, sun is trying to burn through, if it dries off it will be great riding weather!
Will just need to stay away from shopping areas, not difficult to do! Remember to allow extra space for stupid whether riding or driving.
Y'all be safe!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Well I know it's afternoon but just got back form a nice 100 mile + ride with some friends. Can't beat it, Dec. 26th and it's mid 60's here in the Mts. of SW VA. Noticed one other Spyder on route 11 just south west of Wytheville. Gonna try to ride some more tomorrow. After that weather is looking wintery. Pic is just before we headed out this AM.

Good Evening All

Evening to all SpyderLovers everywhere!

Enjoyed a nice lunch with my little* boys and their little girls. Not scheduled for work until Thursday. This gives me time to work on putting together a set of photos to give my former mother-in-law for a 90th birthday present.

*BTW, little boys are all over 6 feet tall. Baby boy is married, with a job, house and a cat.

Mornin, 58 and wet here in G Town. RT got washed and put away yesterday. Not sure if I'll get it back out till spring. I'm bummed. Guess I got spoiled with the warm weather we had the last few days.:(

34 degrees with a wind chill factor of 24, with rain and some ice drizzle, turning to snow possibly by late afternoon.

A flood of almost "Biblical" proportions has hit SW Missouri, with roads, highways and even Interstate 49 closed due to flash flood runoff. In the rural areas, it can actually be difficult to even travel at all due to "low water crossings" and Flood level streams, rivers and lakes.

A Lake just outside the city limits of Carthage, Missouri, rose so quickly that it over flowed it banks by 10 to 15 feet and inundated the entire basin, running over local highways and flooding lots of low lying residential area, forcing the people to flee and lots to be rescued.

Local churches have set up emergency shelters to help the displaced.

I pray it doesn't get worse as typically, flood levels rise even when the rain has stopped due to run off.

Sam:yikes:

good morning to each & all................... hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.....................

ours was pretty eventful......... few days before Christmas our female English Mastiff got bit by a snake. (yep December & snakes still out & about in GA darn 82 degrees on Christmas Day) after 3 days of vet visits & antibotics we were told to rush her to the Vet Hospital of UGA. they would call them & tell them we were on the way............ upon arrival they had a stretcher outside waiting on us. rushed her back & started pumping her full of more antibotics.
Christmas day we had to decide if we wanted to put her down or amputate her front leg. any dog owners out there know the answer we had to do................ so now we are doing physical therapy with a 185lb 3 legged dog...
not going to easy but it will get better...............

just thankful that she is still with us.:thumbup::thumbup:

Yes, as you said any pet owner knows the answer to that question. Good luck with the therapy. I think your dog should now be the official mascot of Spyderlovers? Three legs........three wheels? Can't be coincidence.

Heal quickly pooch! As for weather..it appears winter has arrived here in southern WI. Snowing and blowing like crazy this morning, about 26*. The weather guessers were saying a mixed bag of slop and ice, but it looks like it will be all snow. I'll take the snow over ice any day! They say 4-7", but I know how that goes...LOL:sour:
