• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The ignorance of some people…

…still surprises me.

Yesterday’s temperature got up to 70 degrees so I decided to take my last ride before storing the bike away for winter.

I decided to go to BestBuy in Bowie, MD roughly 45 minutes from my house. While parking the bike some idiot rode past and shouted, “GET A REAL BIKE!”

Wait a minute, I have another one. While still in Bowie but at a traffic light, a guy drove up next to me and said, “you take the fun out of riding”. I told him, “obviously you never rode and CanAM”.

Like I said, IDIOT’s

the key words are " they drove by and screamed it" your response should always be " nice CAR!!!!!"

dont let them bother you because you are riding something

You can either play their game...

Or ride your own bike!

Self

People that attempt to put others down, do so because that's the only way to artificially raise themselves from their low sense of self.

Just saying.

When people do that to us I just point at my helmet/ears and shake my head, signaling I can't hear them. They move on.

good chuckle

Spit a little coffe on my key board when I laughed at this.
Thanks for a good start to my day.
Most of the commments is older riders coming up to ask questions. Seems they are very aware of the 3 wheel benifits vs. giving up riding because of age issues.
One younger Harley rider said his biggest complaint is he can't do donuts on a Can-am spyder???
I asked if he does them on his Harley now?? I offered him $100 per donut in the parking lot with no limit. He declined saying he had drank too much.

what happen to the bumper sticker: 'my other ride is your wife'.

I chuckle now as when I would ride the HOG I would get waves etc.. Now its like I am a alien with big antenna or something..I just ignore the ignorance..

I had one a couple weeks ago in Las Vegas. I was stopped in a turning lane at a red light and a guy stops next to me and says "Why not just drive a car?" IDIOT!

Yep. Like you say, it's not so much ignorance as it is a bad case of low self esteem.

Guy from GA got out of his car at a traffic light

While we were riding this past weekend, we were stopped at a red light and the guy in a minivan from GA in front of us jumps out of his vehicle and runs back to say "Nice looking bike! I love the way that thing looks. What is it and how much does it cost?" I by far get more people interested in the Spyder than I do the idiots mentioned, the idiots, I just ignore. I still wave at every biker I pass, I don't care if they wave back or not. I'm enjoying myself and love the extra security I feel on the Spyder.

:agree:, with what he said.

I too am an X Harley Rider and have yet to get a negative comment about my Spyder but lots of good comments. Have been riding the Spyder since 2012, am
77 so chose it or quit riding but if I knew how much fun they were should have got a spyder years earlier.

I wave to every motorcycle rider I see but will say, I've run across a few Richard Craniums in the past couple of weeks. Just yesterday a Harley guy tossed me a smug look like I was NW.

I had to chuckle a bit because I knew, if he stepped off his bike with even the slightest of breeze, he'd of gotten blown over because his chaps were so darn stiff. (ie new poser) :roflblack:

Not that it really matters but I get way more positives than negatives on the Spyder.

:agree: I also have not had any negative comments so far, but if i do i'll just keep riding and enjoying the Spyder.

Harley, harley, Harley, everybody's got a Harley, except those who DARE to be different. No negative comments and I ride with Harleys, Honda's, Kawasakis, custom trikes. We respect each other's ride.

Comments

Not had one negative comment yet, but due to being so excited and having so much fun with my F3, a negative comment would just go straight over my head. :doorag:
