• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel Filter Question

Hey folks.
I have a 2008 GS SM5 990 Spyder.

Instead of going to the dealer for a new fuel filter, does anyone know if I can use a fuel filter
from the auto parts store.
The Spyder has an in-line metal casing type fuel filter, not a clear plastic type.
This is the type of fuel filters we had on cars years ago.

What type of fuel filter should I get? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all your help.:2thumbs:

You can

Micogard...#33095
Fram..........#G3606
PTC............#PG3606
or cross referrence to your brand of choice...auto parts have them...

On my 2008 GS my fuel filter started to leak so I replaced with a metal one from Napa Auto
just make sure the inlet and outlet are the same size as the fuel hose on your GS
Then zip tie the filter to the bracket
never had a problem with new filter

out of stock

I used a napa 3095 filter on my 2012 RTS its a metal filter exactly placement
Wondering why neither NAPA OR ADVANCE stock them got one from advance it leaked so I'm at NAPA and nothing in stock. Geez try and buy local so much for that.

Wix 33095 or NAPA 3095. These has the test pressures we need. Tried some from Advance auto and they leaked. Either one of these will work. Of course the NAPA is made by Wix also.
