Thanksgiving's screaming down on us in just a few days...what's your "traditional" Thanksgiving feast? It wasn't until I was in the military that I realized how different people's Thanksgiving menus were...I find it kinda interesting.
Mine?
Turkey (recipe by Alton Brown from Food Network...we've been using it for at least ten years)
Stuffing (from scratch...my wife's own recipe)
Mashed potatoes (from scratch...my daughter's own recipe)
Candied sweet potatoes (from scratch...my late Dad's recipe)
Baked sweet potatoes (my wife's recipe)
Green bean casserole (generally a standard recipe)
Cranberry relish (from scratch...my wife's own recipe)
Sweet pickles (because that's what my parents had forever and my kids demand them)
Various and sundry breads
Mince pie (from scratch...my late Dad's recipe)
Various and sundry other pies with ice cream and/or whipped cream
Our half daughter usually brings an Ambrosia salad but she's not going to be having dinner with us this year.
