• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

All the leaves are gone.

It was a beautiful warm fall day to ride today and we found some great mountain roads...but the trees are bare now. Still fun, but the magic was not there as it was a week ago. The Spyder will spend most of it's time indoors for the next few months. Really glad we got a good one in today.

They're not gone......... they're in my YARD!! Wanna grab a rake and help me REALLY get rid of 'em!???:pray:

Sounds like a song by the Mommas and Poppas

All the leaves are gone

And the sky is blue.....

So many acorns

Leaves are not a problem here, but the acorns :banghead:. They're everywhere! Crushed in tire treads, tracked into the house ..... I'm glad my Spyder is kept in the garage.

We've got 2 walnut trees and an oak tree (among others) and the squirrels love us in the fall gathering all the walnuts. Our neighbors harvest the ones that fall outside our fence.

BTW - Walnuts drop walnuts and those could become new walnut trees. Oak trees drop acorns which could become new oak trees. Why aren't acorns called oak nuts?

Gmynastics coach in college often played the M&P"s albums ( yes , big round records ) during practice. Good stuff, must add to my Ipod for ski music----- oh-- going sking in a few minutes. Can't complain about skiing before Thanksgiving!!!!

We do not have any snow here in the North East yet( in the valleys) but some in the mountains. Usually the week of Thanksgiving the ski areas open up for the season. Next week the traveling is looking good, no major snow storms WOHOO! Deanna

I like riding during the three to four weeks after the leaves have fallen. It opens up the view on some of the mountain rides I do. What is a tree lined road in summer, opens up into huge mountain and valley vistas that remain unseen unless you pull off the road to peek through openings in the trees during spring/summer.

A lot of the view was missing on the three mountain rides we did when NtA visited AK in July. It is a completely different ride in early spring and late fall.

Bob, I have a yard vac, but with all the rain lately, gonna be a while before I can even start on the task of removing them. :yikes:

...But the handiest aspect of a leaf blower... is that you can take it into the house, open up some windows, and fire it up!
No more dusting chores!! :roflblack:

Because if you called them what they really are, on the menu; you'd never sell a single plateful! :yikes:

(Or is it a bowlful?)
