• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

new spyder sighting (touring ?)

That's an RT prototype. Sure there is a chance that your friend of a friend saw one - but it most certainly was not owned by anyone.

I took your post as that someone claimed it was their bike. Most stories that are 3rd hand end up leaving out various important details - to no fault of yours---- just the way things work.

Maybe someone from the Spyder Team was on an RT prototype.

I would love one of those minus the passenger seat and backrest :)

Oh, geez.

The BRP products are not road-tested in public...period. I heard this from the BRP rep. and from a different BRP rep when I first got my bike.

They're not going to risk ruining the surprise by riding the bike around in a group...

The release is in September...that is the first time anyone will see the actual product.

So, that begs the question....is this a prototype? I don't think so...
So, what the heck is it? When was the picture taken? They could be doing some minor cosmetic changes to throw people off and what's actually different is the engine, which is not visible...

Who knows? They were great with keeping the Spyder secret...they'll do the same with the new product...

Here's one of the very first spyshots of the original Spyder.....note the date of the article, 12/14/06....well before the official unveiling in Feb. of '07.

Sorry Bro but you're wrong, our Spyder was spotted in 2006 and the picture was taken at Deals Gap.

This photo looks exactly like the RT ad that was released to the public and BRP asked that it would be removed from all the Spyder message boards. This is the RT and it was taken by the public. They had this section of the road closed so BRP could do their photo shoot but they didn't have it closed enough.;)

I'm pretty sure deep down BRP is glad this got leaked so they could see the public response before they go to market. :doorag:
