• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This should get people talking

Found this by chance. It was taken in Glamis.

Okay,
Where is Glamis? Those spyders have a little bit of a different look to them, wheels, back tire looks smaller to me, possibly an adjustable windshield, different headlights too, and a few other things just at first glance. Any hints as to what this is, just some modded out spyders or real BRP trials?

Are we looking at the rumored touring model?

Look at the foot peg area. That looks factory versus a mod... And look at the backrest area of the bike and the turn signals.

Seems to be an awful lot of BRP apparel on those people too. :) Maybe this is the touring models caught out on a spin or an intentional leak to see what feedback is like?

Here's a lightened up version.....

Seems BRP is doing some road testing of the RT. Handlebar risers look familiar!

Ooooooh... is that an electric windshield? Had one on the ST-1300... great option... if that is what it is.

.

4" raisers? Different head lights in the left-project and right-project?

NMN, get ready for this new L.E.D. tail lights

I have already told our dealer to get us one of these new Spyders as soon as we heard about them months ago.

As far as I know we'll have the first one they can get so we can start working on mods for it.

Let the games begin again!

I think I'll wait about a year on this one. :lecturef_smilie:

I'm just getting mine dialed in the way I like it. At first I thought that would tend towards a touring style but, in reality, 90% of my riding is not touring. Thats part of the reason that I sold my GIVI bag setup. I'll be sticking with my PE SM5 for the foreseeable future.

Can you say R/T ?

Close inspections shows its still belt drive....nice radio antanae , yep sure looks like a the touring industry standard electric windshield .....

Note the front machine has way more chrome... even the fog light buckets...

I know brp asked that the other pic (looked to be an official brp picture / advertisement that was copyrighted) be removed from some of the forums a while back , but to those of us who were lucky enough to quickly click and save the other pic , its obvious what these are , even though the other "picture" was much clearer.

Nah - I can see the belt - that would be a very massive change for them to go to shaft drive.

If they jump the HP they better add 6th gear - people complain about the poor MPG of the 106 HP that we all have now.

Different blinkers and mirrors for sure.

Some of us still have that photo saved - ahem - if anyone wants to see it - a PM with your email in it could be used--- ahem - ;)

What I like about the Spyder in the pic shown is how the front spoiler/trunk area goes higher before starting the hood back - this looks better IMO, would make the trunk larger and send more air to the radiator instead of straight up the hood to our helmets.....will be interesting to see if these are prototypes or if the Glamis boys are just really good modders...

The sleeker design looks a little more aggresive to me. Less "trikie". I like it a lot better but not enough to lose money on the one I just bought. Oh well.:gaah:
