Really?

I was out running errands yesterday when I drove by a local eatery. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I immediately turn around and went back. This is what I saw.

I went in and the hostess asked if she could help me. I asked her about the flags. I was met with a blank stare then "what flags?" "I don't know anything about that". Can I speak with the manager? More blank stare. She gets the manager. I ask him about the flags. Surprised look. "What?" "Seriously?" "I didn't know" That's evident. So I take him outside and show him. Three flags are hung. One is leaning against the ladder. "Wow, I'm so glad you saw this and took the time to let me know". "I'll take care of this right now".

The flags were being put up by an individual of foreign descent. The kicker, there is a large flag pole in front of this business with a properly flown flag.

I wonder if some people were trying to be "funny" and re-hung the flags while no one was looking. I've seen crazy things happen-some truly funny, some not at all.

I don't believe this person was NOT aware of what they were doing. I suspect this was done intentionally as a sign of disrespect for our flag.

Coming home from the big box home improvement store (Menards) last night I caught up to a car with a long pole of some kind sticking out the back, for a warning flag the driver had a US flag flapping from it. I was really tempted to do something, but figured I'd just get myself in trouble. I did give her the one finger salute as I went by, but she was busy on the phone and probably didn't notice. :banghead:
