• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Meeting with BRP rep. tomorrow...what questions need to be addressed?

bone crusher

Alignment Specialist
I am going to my dealership tomorrow for a ride, luncheon, etc...for all who have bought Spyders there...

The regional BRP/Can-Am rep. will be there...what would everyone like me to bring him for BRP/Can-Am to address?

How about pressing him for a written revision to the oil specification...since BRP changed the oil but not the spec.

I'm actually going to print this thread out and bring it with me...so keep adding stuff...the more they know, the better...I'll report back with whatever info. I find out...

See if/when they will coming out with new model. Ask if their is a way to have them run cooler. Not 5 bars or more.

Hey, Scotty, did I tell you I got a phone call from BRP explaining the change in oil?

I'll go listen to the message again and try to quote him...

(I know...It'd be great to get it in writing, warranty-wise.)

2010 model will be the touring model.
They are dropping the color YELLOW

The 5 bar thing, do you work for Verizon?

if he is a regional rep, isn't he just a sales guy, they don't have technical road reps, they can do features and benefits but aren't that technical

:agree:

You're going to be sorely disappointed if you think he will know anything more technical than where the gas goes. They are nice guys - but they are basically reginal sales reps - that's it.

VISpyderman ..... talk about stiring the pot with your comments :2thumbs:

Moi? I haven't got the foggiest idea of what you're suggesting! LOL :roflblack:
On a serious note, though! I am trying to get an answer to the camber issue, my tech and I are working to solve the mystery.

The folks here on the SpyderLovers site might actually know more than the factory guy! :roflblack:

I guess I won't be printing this up and bringing it...for those of you with valid issues (like Scotty), thank you.

accessories

Ask the rep when we can get the new windshields and the new comfort seat. It seems as soon as they advertise they have them, they are on back order. One would think they would manufacture plenty for the supply and demand. I want to buy them right now, but everybody says they are back ordered with no eta....

Thanks

info/questions

just for shi** n giggles ask about the test pilot and spyder parking plates for all of us who hav demo'd a ride and then purchased. thanks and good luck....

Shocks

Ask rep when Spyder is going to put some good shocks on the Spyder. With 2 up the rear shock position is either to harsh or next level down bottoms out,we are not overweight people.. Elka makes a shock for the Spyder that has more travel and you can adjust the speed of the compression rate.BRP needs to put these on the Spyder or offer as an alternitive.:dontknow:
