• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Weird

Had not driven my RT for a couple of weeks cause i been so busy. I went out today since it was so pretty bout 80 degrees. I fired it up and the check engine light came on. I backed out the shed which it barely would move. I looked at it and took off the panel where i check the oil. I'm making sure no rat or anything might have ran up in it. I could not see jack. I thought about it is still under warranty and put the panel back on. All while i did this, i had removed the key and sat it on the porch cause i remember the key walk thing from this site. I got the key after bout 15 mins and turned, it fired up no light or nothing, running normal. I went about 150 miles no problem and enjoyed the warm day and even took mom out to lunch(nothing like spending time with mom). The check engine light coming on was weird, since i have not had any trouble out this bike since i had it. I've had it a little over a year and a half. Today was a good day. Hope the light don't come back. Love my Spyder

Sometimes you will have an episode like you mentioned and will then experience no troubles. Hope this is your situation. If the problem persists, see your dealer.

I say its just the :ani29: showing us who is really in charge. :roflblack::roflblack:

I have had something like this happen it always is related to starting cold and backing up first and dps or limp mode once clear and rolling everything is ok I have come to the conclusion that it's because nanny didn't get to set up clear it's brain and find all of its sensors before going forward and settling in just a glitch in seeing rear vs front wheel speed or something

Since it's a 2012, with the Vee-Twin; the next time you can run it far enough to get it fully up to operating temperatures, check the oil again.
The twins are known for using a bit of oil between changes...
Good Luck!
