• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

bike not starting

I washed the bike the other day & now it won't start! I have it on a battery charger now. After I wash it I lift the seat up & dry underneath it I usually take it out for a drive after washing but didn't this time. Any clue what I am doing wrong??

At the risk of sounding condescending, I have to ask. Did you check so see if you accidentally hit the kill switch while you were cleaning?

The not riding part probably allowed moisture in someplace it shouldn't be. Happened to my Harley years ago and ever since then, if I wash it I ride it. Unfortunately I can't remember what got wet and it really don't matter. Apples / Spacecraft! :roflblack:

Charge the bat, leaf blow all the nooks and maybe give it a tiny shot of starting fluid if you can get to the air intake.

another vote for the kill switch.....too easily done without noticing. How aggressive do you get when washing???? Ex. pressure washer, motor wash, etc...could you have knocked a battery cable loose?

Just wash by hand with sponge & garden hose. If I hit the kill switch then it wouldn't try to turn over.

No didn't check that but it try's to turn over just won't go all the way.

That rules out the kill switch if it's trying to turn over.

I hope you find the solution. There are many great minds here, :chat: I'm sure someone will come up with something

happened to me too

The same thing happened to me last week, would spin just not firing, turned out the engine flooded for some reason when I washed it, someone told me to hold throttle wide open then hit start button to crank for 15 to 30 seconds max, then stop and crank normal this clears cylinders of excess gas and it worked for me.Make sure battery has full charge first, hope it works for you.:chat:

What do you mean it won't start? Does that mean it won't turn over, or turns over but won't fire?

turns over but not firing. have it charging now overnite.

Battery...

if it turned over slowly after washing you need to get a full charge before it will start. You can jump it from your car (engine not running) or wait for it to charge (battery charger not tender). If it doesn't start right up then do a wide open throttle for 15-20 seconds wait 30 and crank again...
