• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had the dealer install the bluetooh dongle and the garmin 660 gps mount. I get my Sena headsets to marry to the dongle but get no music through them. They had an issues with the garmin mount , couldn't find the power connector. Any suggestions as to why no sound for the headsets? I have tried play with the radio setting for the speakers and headsets but still no joy.

How did you bind the Sena SM10 (BT dongle) with your helmet?

You do not bind it like another headset you have to bind it like a phone device!

I am guessing this is your problem and is a common mistake.

Used the configuration menu, and chose media selective paring. I'll try that with the phone.

Try this SENA pairing instructions - manual is too complicated

Try this SENA pairing instruction - manual is too complicated. Click on picture attached to read it.

Another thought - I hope the dealer verified the radio connection when hooking up your Bluetooth dongle transmitter with the radio connection..... I installed mine on both of the Spyders I've owned with no problem getting the radio via the Bluetooth dongle transmitter to the helmets.

Good luck.

I think the first question regarding the 660 is do you receive instructions thru the external speakers?
If yes, the problem is Bluetooth setup.
If no, the problem is incorrectly installed Garmin.
The Garmin requires TWO harnesses to be installed on the Spyder.

Finally solved my issue with sound not coming out of the headsets, Seems the dealer didn't install the 3.5 mm plug from the dongle to the radio. Also FYI you need to pair with phone mode, this is from the testing I did with sena. Not really pleased with Bluetooth so far, breaks up around noisy power lines, miss my direct connect from old bike. But do like the fact I have no wires hanging and the sound when working is far batter then my high end J&M;s.

Yup, no input - no output.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "phone mode".

The headset should be paired to the Dongle using Page 19 Paragraph 6.1 A2DP Stereo Music Only as everything EXCEPT phone calls pass through your Radio/Entertainment System.

As per Sena pair it as a phone. If you are going to pair a phone with the headset use multipoint paring, again per Sena.

I had problems getting my Zumo 990 paired with everything, i.e., iPhone 5S, Spyder radio, MP3 in GPS and GPS turn by turn directions into SMH10 headset.. Everything was properly connected by the dealer tech. The instructions below were sent to me by a Sena technician and followed exactly work perfectly.

First -- SMH10 to iPhone via Selective Profile Pairing, Sec 7.2.

1. Turn on the headset and press the Phone Button for 5 seconds
until the LED flashes red and blue alternately and you hear
multiple beeps.

2. Within 2 seconds, tap the Phone Button again, then the LED turns
to blue flashing and the beeps turn to multiple mid-tone beeps.
You will hear a voice prompt saying “Phone selective pairing”.

3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your smartphone. Select the
Sena SMH10 in the list of devices detected on your phone.

Second – SMH10 to SM10 via Mobile Phone Pairing, Sec 6.1

1. Turn on the SMH10 and press the Phone Button for 5 seconds until
the LED flashes red and blue alternately and you hear multiple
beeps. You will hear a voice prompt saying “Phone pairing”.

2. Search for Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Select the
Sena SMH10 in the list of the devices detected on the mobile
phone.

3. Enter 0000 for the PIN. Some mobile phones may not ask for the
PIN.

4. The mobile phone confirms that pairing has completed and the
SMH10 is ready to use. You will hear a voice prompt from the
SMH10 saying “Your headset is paired”.

5. If the pairing process is not completed within three minutes, the
SMH10 will return to stand-by mode.

Third – SMH10 to GPS via Multipoint Pairing, Sec 6.2

1. To pair the second mobile phone, press the Jog Dial for 5 seconds
again until the red LED is rapidly flashing and you hear multiple
beeps.

2. Within 2 seconds, tap the Phone Button again, then the LED turns
to blue flashing and the beeps turn to high tone double beeps. You
will hear a voice prompt saying “Multipoint pairing”.

3. Search for Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Select the
Sena SMH10 in the list of the devices detected on the mobile
phone.

4. Enter 0000 for the PIN. Some mobile phones may not ask for the
PIN.

5. The mobile phone confirms that pairing has completed and the
SMH10 is ready to use. You will hear a voice prompt from the
SMH10 saying “Your headset is paired”.
