• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Lamonster NBV Highway Pegs - Spyderpops

Just received my NBV highway pegs from spyderpops today (Saturday)... Gotta love farkles shipped priority via USPS. The first side was tricky, as it's the "learning" side. But after that, the other side took 10 minutes if that. All together it was an hour of time. I haven't gone out for a ride yet to try em, but I'm fairly excited to have something to stretch out on. I can honestly tell, if I had the comfort seat with an extra two inches, the pegs would even be better. I'm riding on the RT-S SM6, and the touring position gets a little boring after awhile. Maybe this will help my "soft butt" toughen up a little, to help me log more miles before I get sore.

Any way, here's to the NBV highway pegs, cheers!IMG_20150815_193940017.jpgIMG_20150815_194055555.jpgIMG_20150815_194048981.jpg

The Lamonster Highway Pegs are good, but they lack good installation instructions and Lamont is not the best about giving support. But they are decent pegs.

Totally Agree

That's why it took me 50 minutes on the left side... Had troubles figuring out a few things. I think it's done correctly now, as it seems like I can stand on them with no issue... 6-ft @ 235 lbs.

I'm seriously wanting a new seat now to see if the leg stretch will be that much better? The image in my head is that of a Harley guy cruising down the highway with his legs fully extended, almost like he's on a recliner, lol.

Bob,
It's definitely a disease... Farkling that is. One thing leads to another. I said to myself, after the smooth spyder tensioner, that would be it, and five or six later I'm still adding.

I want to do the Baja Ron sway bar, and now possibly a new saddle to give me another two inches in the seat. Ugh, this disease can cost some money!

If you looked in the media section you'd find a really easy to follow instruction video posted by Lamonster on how to mount the brackets.
For me that's what I call support.!

Unfortunately, all I had to go by were some photos on his website. I don't think there was a video available when I put mine on, at least not that he mentioned when I asked him for help. I did get a lot of help from the folks here on Spyder Lovers, which is how I finally figured out how they go on. Once I figured it out, it was a piece of cake. :dg2:

Lamont's New YouTube Video

Well, Lamont must have been listening, because he recently posted a new instructional video on how to install the NBV highway pegs. And it was up to date, based on what comes in the package of materials. I was happy to see that everything I have done for the install was explained by Lamont. The only thing I didn't do was replace the lower bolt from the factory... It didn't seem like that was necessary... It had enough length. But I'll reexamine on a rainy day.

I did have an opportunity to "recline" on the highway, yesterday. I even rested the ankle on top, with my foot a half inch from the wheel fender... Everything seemed OK though, and I was quite comfortable. Although, due to Atlanta traffic, my reclining was short lived, and I had to go back to the SM-6 pegs for some stop and go antics on the interstate. But I can tell, I'm excited to have them on and looking forward to using the hell out of them in the near future.
