• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whole Lotta Shakin Going On

We had a nice earthquake tonight a little after 6:35 PM. It started out as about a 5.0 and worked its way up to a 6.3. Epicenter about 71 miles away.

I was at school and the building just shook. The duration was almost 45 seconds--long for most earthquakes. A coat rack in the hallway had the hangers dancing big time.

When I got home, the pictures on the wall were re-arranged, a couple small items on the floor, and several dresser drawers were open about half way. One of my cats was real glad to see me.

Have not heard about any big damage though.

Yikes..!!

glad your all good and damage was minimal so far as you know...having been born and raised in Peru I know how it is..:yikes: my dogs always let us know they were coming but there is nothing to do. So as not to drag on, I traded snot for spit and ended up in California..:yikes: there was something everywhere I've lived..:yikes:

The folks in the Northwest need to keep ready. There is a lot of talk about a 9+mega Quake any day up there. The director of FEMA said everything west of I5 would be toast.

i was once making love to a girl when a quake hit, i almost married her till someone told me it was a quake

I had a very vivid dream last night that I was in an earthquake. For some strange reason I went back in the high rise hotel to get my shoes while the shaking was going on.

These days, it does not seem to matter where one lives. There seems to be all kinds of potential disasters just waiting to happen. I am guessing there is really no "safe" place on this planet.

Might as well be in a place that you like and let the chips fall where they may. I try not to worry to much about the woulda, coulda, shouda, stuff.

Here in Michigan too. We've had two quakes this year, kind of odd for us. If I'm not mistaken, after the first they discovered a fault line that runs through the center of our state.

Maybe we'll have a big one and the east side of the state will break off. If that happened maybe that side of the state can just become part of Canada. We could get rid of Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw, and Flint.

Then...they could rename it the Peninsula State. You would have the UP, the LP, the EP, and the WP. :roflblack:
