• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Squared Away Provides Long Distance Service

Today, my 2012 Spyder tried to take the day off while we were in Yellowstone by not starting. My wife got on the phone to Capt. Jam at Squared Away. He diagnosed the problem, instructed me in detail how to take off the panels to get to my battery (without having to remove the mirror), guided me to the location of the connections to check to see if they were loose; warned me that when jumping the bike to not have the charging vehicle running. And voila, my bike started and has run perfectly since. (Loose negative battery cable.) Just like in the movies then someone on a plane needs an operation and there is no doctor on board. Ground control brings in a doc who provides detailed instructions by radio; and the patient is saved. Merci Beaucoup, mon Capitain.

Awesome..!!

They are good.:2thumbs::firstplace: Glad you called the right guy for the job...and now can carry on with your trip...

Lol

Lucky guess! But, I did stay at a holiday inn express recently! Does that qualify?
Glad to help, my friend! Safe travels, see you when you return. Joe

DID YOU PUT THESE ON

If you didn't put them on , I would get some and do so. The connections will never loosen by themselves again.........." STARWASHERS " ....the type with the teeth on the inside of the washer, there are two kinds.........Mike

Actually not Holiday Inn Express

But playing with those 118+or- dogs at Muktuk B & B qualified you to handle alllll kinds of sh*#!!! :roflblack::roflblack: But all smart remarks aside...it was verrrrry reassuring to have Joe and Ann as part of the North To Alaska group. Yep they get :firstplace::bowdown:. More than once when we would stop I could hear someone in the group YELL, yes YELL...Joe? Ann? and it wasn't because they just needed a 'hello'...

Pretty darn good people

Yeah, the folks at Squared Away are pretty OK in my book too. The only reason I know that the O-Rings on the oil filter slip around during installation is because I was instilled with that knowledge when Capt. Jam taught me how to change the oil/filter in my Spyder. At that point in time I had the luxury of just riding over to their place and not requiring phone support, but that in itself shows you what kind of people they are. They let me use their garage/tools/time and taught me to perform a service on my own Spyder that would save me lots of $$$ in the long run. And all I had to do was

A. Be ready to learn
B. Be prepared to be licked in the ear while lying on the ground. By their very awesome dogs... Not Capt. Jam. :)

Second that!

It was also very noticeable to me that Joe and Ann knew what they were doing on our :spyder2:'s.

It is great that we have a go to person(s) who is/are willing to help others with their :ani29: issues.

They did mine

Joe and Anne have worked on my bike. They were great to describe what they were doing and how it would affect it. Good Folks They Are.
