• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you wear on your Spyder? In HOT weather?

Feel like riding ?

I'm sorry Bob. I mis- read that post. It makes you FEEL like riding.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Here's another high-end solution:

http://www.veskimo.com/

A pumped-water vest that will fit under your jacket. Plug the backpack into your bike's power outlet, and you're good to go.

BTW, heat index in Montgomery, Al, was 117 today. Kinda sticky on the Spyder.

:shocked:Our riding Season up here in the Northeast is already too short. I'll ride in the heat. If I get warm; I remember what last February felt like, and it makes me feel like riding! :2thumbs:

Riding in February? Isn't that why we have heated grips? ;)

Bob gear

':roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: for winter riding.:rolleyes:

New mesh jacket and cooling vest

I just purchased this mesh jacket from Leatherup motorcycle gear, and it is a real nice jacket for the price. I don't take the heat well, so for me a mesh jacket with the liner removed is more comfortable on those hot days. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mesh-Mot...torcycle-Jacket-with-Gun-Pocket/11545423.html

In addition, I also purchased this cooling vest. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/45440/i/techniche-hyperkewl-deluxe-sport-vests. It is a more expensive vest than some other options out there, but it is a good quality vest and the high collar keeps my neck area cool when the vest is hydrated with water for those hot humid days. I wear this vest over a mesh sleeveless shirt under the mesh jacket.

Comfortable is safer

Fyi year round ryder not lots in triple digit heat mind you but have been there. Developed a saying, for people that ask me why. ("I can can layer up to warm up,& safer for it, cant do crap to cool off!) & there is a mutitude of riding gear available for all walks of life. Find what fits you,your riding style best. 100%more likely to wreck if distracted (uncomfortable) by way something fits, & your not enjoying the ride:barf:always good idea to carry a spare change anyway nxt to the rain gear. this caught my eye as bit too much

I was in Ohio this weekend. It was interesting to see can-am/motorcycle riders with no protective gear. Most riders were just wearing sunglasses.
