• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The spot is great

Watching your trip using the spot link has been great. We are planning a trip up north next year only will be in the car. Am going to get a spot for just that. Thanks for the fun.

Trailer lock busted

Glad you posted! Was worried about you both! Ride your own ride, and be safe. All the best, joe and ann

The Yukon was a bit hard on the trailer. The weld for the lock did not hold up. Will try to get it welded in Haines AK.

How many of you use the can-am trailer vs some other brand of trailer? I think all the pics I've seen have shown canam trailers. Not sure though...

So you made it over the rough stretch? Glad it was only the lock.

Fred has an XL trailer and there was one CanAm Freedom trailer and the rest are RT-622 trailers.

We had to get up way too early today to make it to Denali to catch our bus at 7:20. The road between Healy and Denali is all torn up and you have to wait for pilot cars to take you through. We got there plenty early and boarded the bus for our adventure. We saw sheep, caribou, grizzly bears and moose. It started out mostly sunny but then we hit rain later in the day. The roads are a bit scary, especially in the rain, but we made it safely.

Tonight we we had dinner at our hotel and said our goodbyes, as some of the group is headed to the Arctic Circle in the morning. I am really excited to be heading south to see my puppies! We will ride with Tom and Robin tomorrow heading to Tok via Fairbanks and North Pole AK.

This is is Hidden Lake, the second picture is s couple of moose and in the last picture there is a grizzly bear to the right of the smudge and a little bit lower

Denali

Fantastic bus tour of Denali national park! 90 miles of dirt road at 30mph! Saw all manner of wild animals; ram, grizzly bears, moose, caribou, turnigins, squirrel, sled dogs. Very cool! Long bus ride, but cool trip. Had a farewell dinner tonight. Some going north, some going south. What a fantastic group to ride with! It has been my pleasure to be allowed to tag along, being on two wheels. Pictures to follow! Joe

Friday, the 10th on the way to Healy. That's supposed to be Mt McKinley, but it's hard to distinguish clouds from snowy mountain. Turns out it's the best view we got this trip.

Since we we couldn't see the mountain from the ground, we hired a plane and got to see it from the air. It's cool that they even labeled all the peaks for us.
