• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New dealer list for Garmin GPS

Bump and Thanks, with nothing better to do today I downloaded the latest maps and upgraded the latest Spyder dealer list.:yes::yes:Again thank you for putting this together.

Added MI dealer
ON dealer moved.

As always if you know of dealer additions, deletions or corrections let me know. Thanks

Have you had a chance to look at what is in the ZUMO 590 that is coming on the '15 Limiteds????
I read somewhere where Spyder Codes is not being updated anymore. Something about a pi**ing contest with BRP???????????
Thanks for all your hard work.

There is an update on the BRP web site with an updated dealer list .gpi file and instructions to update the 590 and 660. The last time I looked at it there was a small mistake in the instructions that I outlined on another thread. That file is for US and Canada only. My file also covers Australia and New Zealand.BRPs update link was put up there late last year and that was the first updated dealer file since 2009. So how often are they going to updated it, every 5 years. :dontknow: I don't have the ability to take apart a .gpi file to do a good comparison of my data and theirs. So I don't know how much difference there is. A problem I am having is that folks are not letting me know about changes anymore. It was very good for a while. Also RataganRoger and I were trading info too. So I suspect my file is not keeping up because very few people are keeping me up to date.

I have updated the files in post #1. A lot of changes made. Some dealers added. A couple deleted. Some dealer name changes. I feel that I am more up to date than the update file located on the BRP website. It will stay that way if you update me with changes to your local dealers.

Also now have the dealer list in Garmin gpx and TomTom ov2 file formats.

Update for Dealer Jim Potts Motorgroup

Here is the updated phone number for:

Jim Potts Motorgroup
1033 Wanda Lane
Woodstock IL 60098

815 338-0640

Thanks for maintaining this list.

Just did your update on my 660. Worked out great. Just found out by your program there is a new dealer 70 miles from me, instead of the 150 miles to closest dealer. Thanks a lot Billy for all your work and help.

I know I have the file on my computer. I have hit copy and pasted it to the GPS in devices and printers. Looks like it is going to GPS. I have a Zumo 550. Where do I find it in the GPS? Bear with me not the smartest kid on the block.:banghead:

If it is actually copied to your GPS and it is the .gpi file you copied. After you disconnect the GPS from the computer and restart it. Spyder Dealers option will appear as an option in the Where To menu.

I still don't have it. All the files in my GPS are GPX files. Do I need to use that one? I have deleted everything and going to start over. Should I use the GPI or the GPX or does it make a difference? I think I am doing it right. When I click on Garmin the file is there. Like I said not the smartest when it comes to computers!:banghead:

Use the .gpi file and copy it into the POI folder. That will give you a new menu item called "Spyder Dealers" under the "Where To" menu, After restart.

If you copy the .gpx file the dealers will be in the favorites menu and is difficult to find the closest dealers and your other favourites will get lost in the mess. The .gpx file is meant for folks who wish to use poi loader from Garmin. Then it will appear in the "Extras" menu with it's own submenu of "Spyder Dealers"

I can't find a POI folder. The .gpi file is in the Garmin folder. I am using windows 7. Has anyone else with a 550 had it to work? I am at a loss. Would like to have it but don't know what to do. I know it is difficult for you not seeing for yourself what I have done. I tried to copy my folders so you could see what I have but it won't let me. I select all and copy but it won't paste. Thanks!

Even if it is in the Garmin folder it will work. Did you try it? I tell you to put it in the POI folder because that is to keep it organised and that is where Garmin puts it' other gpi files.

This is what my Nuvi 265 looks like.
