• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wider front tyres

I don't think you have a Spyder yet, Ant. BEFORE you start making expensive mods. learn how to ride it
and get comfortable with it. I think that the only result with increasing the section of the front tyre will be to
exacerbate bearing wear......Ask Russell at 158 or Winston at GS.

Wider fronts = more resistance. Probably more difficult handling and less liters per KM.

No advantage since the drive wheel is in the rear.

:agree: Log some "Saddle-Time", and then you'll be able to decide what REALLY needs changing; and what you merely WANT to change...

Wider tyres

Hi guys

thanks for your replies, I agree with you all, will have to get some miles under my belt before doing any mods.

i live in the UK but will hopefully buy an F3 in Spain, any Spanish owners out there?

Ant

He asked a simple question

I like how often as simple question is answered with anything but an answer, lol. Ant, I know a few have done research on this and had no luck finding wider tires that fit due to the tight fit of the fenders and even the support brackets if I recall. A different brand may be marginally wider (or narrower) but that would be minute and likely not what someone is hopping to gain.

WIDER TIRES

Hi.

has anyone fitted wider front tyres?

Is it possible?

Ant

I have these on my 2014 BASIC (old style fenders) RT..... Toyo Proxes T1 185/55-15.....it's a " V " speed tire, grips like glue, great lateral force.........It was a little work to get it to fit, but it was worth it............I'm still getting 40 MPG's................Mike

Yeah..!!

there are quite a few with custom rims (specially made) and no fenders. Does mess up the handling and performance (except straight line). Most are show spyders and only cruise around town. For fun in the sun there are sizes that fit (some need fender mods) and still handle like they should. Google custom can am spyders for tons of pictures...
