Default Ive been lurking and farkling

    Hi everybody.

Ive been scouring this website for info for months before I bought my used 2009 GS in Febuary, and since then Ive been doing something I didnt think Id bother with... Farkling!

My GS only had 750 miles on it but was out of warranty when I bought it. Well ive put alot of farkles and alot of miles on it(8000) and havent had issues. Its been dependable and vastly fun.

Ive done all my own maintenance so far and it hasnt been to the shop yet.

Im not going to list all the mods done as I cant remember all of them, but its all thanks to the great people on this forum. So its time to make myself known and maybe help others a bit. But mostly I dont post as Id rather ride!

    Thanks!

One thing Ive made sure of is to not add any electrical mods... Except for an accessory fuseblock. And I tapped the accessory line to the frunk 12v outlet for the key power.

I don't remember my RT's motor ever looking that clean and tidy and I've had it from new!
I particularly like the double-barreled zorst, it just looks right, sets off your machine to perfection.

Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...

    Hey Guy,
    I've been meaning to ask you this;
Which "side of the underwear" are you riding?

You have done a great job on your "new" 2009. That was a good year--never had any problems on the one we owned. I saw my old one at a MC ride last night. It's still running and providing lots of smiles.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

This machine had a couple neat mods that I knew I was gonna need but I wasnt too happy about all the chrome that had been done. I must admit though, it has really grown on me.

Along with all the chrome stuff it also had:

4" risers with chrome centerpiece cover thing.
    Two Brothers exhaust
    Two Brothers juice box

Off the top of my head Ill add some of the things Ive done:

Spyderpops: Pretty much everything hes got
    Smoothspyder
Kewlmetal air intake with K&N filter
    Canisterectomy
    Amsoil
Bajarons ignition wires and Iridium spark plugs, Ronbar and links
    Progressive shocks front and rear
    Fuzeblock
    Dual usb outlet on dash
12v outlet in trunk and dash
    Rivco floorboards
Highway pegs Kuryakyn(cant remember whos brackets I used, theyre the big flat ones)
    Kuryakyn grips
25" brp windshield(I added a vent from Rifle that works perfectly)
    Comfort seat
Tank bag, seat bag, tail bag, sport saddlebags, trunk liner
    Mirror extensions(cant remember whos)
    More chrome haha

&my opinion on the Farkles list, post them in your profile or signature as I have and just add them as you remember them. as you write them down, you won't forget them.
    RS - 55K+ miles, F3 - 200 miles and counting.
