Default Hello to All from Oakville Ontario

Just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the Spyder community. I'm John Johansen and will be posting under the name JayJay. Have joined the two/three wheel world a little later in life. Lets just say the number resides between 50 & 60. Joined my son in taking the Motorcycle course here in Ontario. Both of us got our M2 back in 2010 and bought motorcycles. As youth have no fear, he has gone off to enjoy everything the motorcycle community has to offer. I on the other hand am more conservative and keep thinking about how the old carcass doesn't recover like it used to and what the consequences would be if a cager didn't look up in time while on their cell. So not to be denied the pleasure I have hedged my bets and purchased a 2013 Spyder RT Limited in Black Currant to be delivered in April. Frankly I can't wait!! I have been reading this forum's threads for months and find it incredibly informative. I look forward to being a contributing member. In the meantime Happy Easter and safe riding to all!!

Welcome to the world of spyders. Check out the Facebook page Ontario Spyder Ryders have set up . You will meet lots of other spyder ryders there too.
I always wanted to get a bike but never did now since a neck injury and repair I am more than comfortable on my spyder RT S withSE5. I just got my M(m) license last June.

I am also a member of CMC chapter 089 from Guelph, Ontario (Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers) CMC has welcomed the spyder ryders with open arms and make you feel as much part of the group as it does the two wheelers.

    Happy Easter

Congratulations and welcome to Spyder lovers, the most informative place for spyder's on the web. And yes your choice was wise; we just don't bounce as well when going to ground as we did when we were 21!!

Default Hello again from Oakville Ontario.

Thanks one and all for the warm welcome! I had my motorcycle delivered to the dealership on Thursday as trade-in and am now waiting for the call that my Spyder has arrived from the factory and is ready for pickup . Took the opportunity while at the dealer to show my wife "our" new purchase. As I sometimes operate on the philosophy that "it is better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission" it was time to get her buy-in or cancel the deal. Long story short, she is now as happy and excited as I am . Looks like there is going to be a lot of 2 up riding in our future. Something that was never going to happen as long as two wheels were involved.

Safe riding to all and hopefully I will get the opportunity this season to meet some of the nice folks who are a part of the Spyder community . If this forum is any indication it is going to be a great experience!

We are new to this site as well, got our Spyder 2 weeks ago - 2013 RT-S in yellow.
I will be posting under condorflysu (Retired hang gliding instructor and home built pilot)

The dealer was just a few blocks from our house in Brampton, Ont., I could hear the Spyder's calling
Only way I could get sleep was to buy one.
I sleep well and smile more and considering a 2nd Spyder ST-S after the product proves it's self to us.

Currently our RT-S is in the shop having a new cluster installed at 84 km. grrrrrr the LCD went Psycho on me.

On the age thing.. we are burning as many candles and still have eye brows left after blowing them out.
We joined the Ontario Spyder's Facebook page (Wife) and she is on the girl riders group too.

Hope to cross paths someday soon, Ottawa is in our plans.
