My seat did the same thing. Contacted my dealer and he has ordered a new replacement covering. I have had my Rts, since August.

Aleene's, Fabric Fusion It's an Adhesive, Put it on the rip wet your finger and even it out with the finger.
I've used it many times over the years with great results.

I wonder if BRP is aware of this issue? I had my seat rip in the same place about a month after I bought mine this May. It was replaced under warranty. Dale

My 2011 RTS seat did the same thing. Took the bike in for a software update and told them about the seat so they could order one if approved by BRP. Hour later picked the bike up with a new seat installed. West Coast Powersports Clearwater Fl. Good people. The new seat also ripped in the same place. I think I will wait for the 2013 seat before having it replaced again.

Will that be covered under the BEST warranty? I found
out the hard way that the replacement airshock was NOT covered under BEST. Ouch!
Thanks for the replys!

Hi, everyone
So everybody know that i'm out of warranty with my RTS 2010 , I call BRP at Valcourt to let them know that i have a problem with my seat tearing just in front like everyone here. I let here know that i take picture at the dealer but i need a file number. So i call back my dealer to tell them the file number. It's will take sometime before he call me back. And will let you know. Just to let you know my dealer change the seat last year warranty end 21 april and they change my seat the 10 april. So summer is coming i will ride the bike. At the end of the summer the seat start tearing. I put the bike in storage for winter. And now this year the seat is tearing more and more with each ride. I tell them you will have problem at the place they wear. And even if they change with new seat it will start again. Because it's a weak point.
Ok i have to leave you. The postmail just arrived with my Bajaron Bar. Youpppi..

I'm on my third OEM seat. However, I'm looking at replacing it with an Ultimate seat so, hopefully, I won't have to worry about a fourth OEM seat.
All have been replaced free of charge.

I may be old, but I got to see all the cool bands.
