It truly is awful that so many riders face injury or worse at the hands of inattentive or even uncaring cage drivers, I sincerely hope that everything is alright and he recovers quickly. It is good that he is conscious and talking, and I hope he was wearing proper gear. It only takes getting road rash once to find the time to put on the gear.
I wish him the best of luck in his recovery and hopefully he gets lucky like I did and the only lasting effect is a story to tell.
