OK I've walked in (not on) Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.....Huron, Michigan and Superior get ready I'm heading your way..
Had a very nice ryde from Niagara Falls NY to Elyria OH...following hiways 2, 5 some 20 some 6....and a little 90...
Todays hilites were the deer that dashed across road..beauty of lakes..mama and papa goose and their 5 little goslings swimming on Lake Erie...staying at a red roof inn for the first time...very nice and in my "designated price range"...admittedly had to do a little dealing, front desk clerk decided she could give me corp rate!!!
Everyone have a great day....

If you go to the Upper Peninsula, you can get Huron, Michigan and Superior al in a matter of a few hours, and check out the Soo Locks.

Wahington Island in Door County, WI is pretty. You can take the ferry over to the island. But I would head up Hwy 75 in Michigan where lower meets upper. There you could put one foot in Lake Michigan and the other foot in Lake Huron. MI riders can correct me if I'm wrong. A lot of "Bays" up there. Not sure if it would be "officially" Lake Michigan and Huron.

I could show you the entire Lake Michigan shoreline, and we could take days...but that would certainly slow down the trip. Some of my favorites are South Haven, Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Pentwater, and Petosky (on a bay). At the Mackinac Bridge, both Lakes Michigan and Huron are in sight, so that is the most convenient. Frankly, in Michigan you can pretty much throw a dart and find a good spot at a Great Lake.

Sixth Great Lake?
If you are trying for all the Great Lakes, don't miss Lake St.Clair. Not officially one of the Great Lakes, but since all of the outflow from Superior,Michigan and Huron goes thru it on the way to Lake Erie it should be recognized as one of them.

Murphy Brown:
don't know how far along you are but heading north in Michigan to Sault Ste Marie gives you an opportunity to cross back into Canada and tour the topside (northern side) of Lake Superior. Pretty rugged country on the Trans Canada Highway (#17). Stay on it through Thunder Bay and cross back into the USA at International Falls.
Very pretty country and good roads (at least they were the last time we toured them).
