The questions keep coming
So, I've been out and about on the Spyer the last few days, and I'm blown away by all of the interest that everyone has in this machine. Get ready to leave work the other day, quickly had to give a tour to an interested couple. Parked in the Cabelas lot, gave a tour to another interested party. Walked inside Cabelas and was immediately approached by a nice gentleman wanting information(he had a HD sitting in the parking lot). Hit the gas station, gave another tour. And my favorite so far, one of my local police officers slid in behind me, threw the lights on, and had me pull over(NO, wasn't doing anything wrong). He just wanted to get a closer look and told me he and his wife were thinking about joining the ranks and wanted to know the dealer we used. Gotta say, I'm actually liking all of the attention. Word of advice for new and potential owners, be PREPARED, you're gonna have a lot of attention/questions coming your way. Just had to share... RYDE ON everyone!

I was out the other day "practicing backing up the trailer" as I posted on another topic and a Harley pulls up to see if I was in trouble and needed help. We talked about the Spyder, local riding clubs and his father who rode until he was 80. He said he wished the Spyder was around when his dad was still alive as he would have ridden until he passed at 84.
I have noticed that the "scorn" towards Spyders seems to be dying down and more questions and interest picking up. Sometimes pioneers get arrows but we are the first to reap the rewards.

I am some what anti social and was not expecting all the attention you get riding a Spyder. When I rode Harleys or my Goldwing I was just another bike on the road. Now there are lots of people pointing at me when I ride by. I'll be happy when more and more people realize how great the Spyders are and start trading in thier bikes so the Spyder is comon place. Just my anti social opinion

Depends on who. Most people I have met are very friendly and want more information about what it is, how it rides, etc. However, I have met some hard core bikers that still have that look of scorn on their faces when they look at it. I just wave and keep going.
I LOVE this bike and for my wife, it is a way to get her out on one as she has RA and could not maneuver getting on and off of a 2-wheeler. I also feel much safer with her on-board as she has to move often because of her RA.

I especially enjoy the folks who pull along side me, or slow down after passing, start taking pictures and then do a thumbs up. Happened twice on I - 355 Tollway a couple of weekends ago. It's just a thrill rydin the Spyder.

Try riding down the road with an eight year old redhead in pink helmet with her feet up in your lap and taking a nap or playing her Nintendo DS. Kind of figure out what is happening when a four wheeler is passing you and then slows down and the camera comes out.
By the way CYNCYSPYDER she still hasn't met Teddy yet. At Maggie Valley she looked for him but they kept missing each other. She definitely wants to meet him.

Since the weather is warmer now...
It has started again... cage with windows open or people walking on the street... all of a sudden I hear someone scream:
Hey! Nice bike!

I've been keeping those business card sized brochures on me for months. The 2012 brochures are a bit bigger though. But I still keep them on me.
