    Default Does newer style windshield PIN's use a sleeve?

    My '11 has the type pins (two short ones on each side arm and a longer one in the center) secured with a circlip. Some '12's (maybe all) and '13's use a diff type pin held togather with a screw that seems to prevent rattling. Looking at the fiche, I can't tell whether these pins also have a tiny sleeve or not.
    If anyone has removed their windshield, can you let me know?

    I've always had a rattle and would like to do away with it. Havent' tried other methods of plastic shims, and one person mentioned using a drinking straw to make a sleeve which sounds like a good idea.

    The newer style (with screws at either end) don't have a sleve. It's a rod with an internal thread in each end, held in place with a torx, button head screw at each end. Much easier to work with rather than worrying about dropping the old style clip down inside the openings below. I have a 2010 Rt and made the switch. The parts inner change.

    Post Someone else just posted about the whole kit thats needed to order

    We just ordered and recieved ours, and there are little black plastic sleeves about a 1/4 inch long that goes in both the left and right sides of the new barrels, 6 in all and they help to keep everything tight. Once I get home from work, I'll post pics of them, but you may want to do a search, as someone else posted the item #'s along with quantities and even posted pics of them, but I couldn't seem to locate that post in a hurried search. They are much better than the 2010-2011's using the circlip

    Thanks guys for feedback. Its their ref to "sleeves" ..and the seemingly high price $5.80 each?...that had me confused. I did a search but didn't find that earlier post either. sounds like a plastic straw might do the job well enough.
